It is degraded primarily by microbial metabolism and thus it does not affect the soil adversely for foliage plant growth. Buccaneer Plus is of selectively low toxicity to birds, mammals, and fish. It is one of the most commonly used herbicides. It is a broad-spectrum, non-selective, systematic weed killer that kills many grasses, shrubs and trees.
