The Gary Yamamoto 4″ Kickin’ Zako Paddletail utilizes the same fish-catching capabilities of the original Zako design but adds additional action with a kicking tail. Unlike most paddle tail swimbaits, this Zako’s tail is more rectangular with a rounded bottom. “It swims really well and has a nice wiggle action to it,” explains Yamamoto Pro Brett Hite.

This swimbait is reminiscent of bluegill or a big shad with its big belly and large profile. This new Zako bait retains the same vertical baitfish profile and segmented tail sections as its predecessor, while its tapered head creates a seamless overall profile. It fits on a jig head perfectly with no trimming – just thread it on and you’re good to go!
