There’s nothing worse than being in the dark. There you are tripping over things, walking into stuff and certainly because of all your stumbling around, with all that noise you’re making, you aren’t going to sneak up on anything. Worse, you might even have hunters think you are the target they have been waiting for. Yes, being in the dark can be extremely inconvenient.
I recently discovered a new flashlight that I swear by. It’s a Streamlight. Now, I bet you thought all flashlights were basically the same. Sure, they come in various sizes, but the main idea is to push a button and a beam of light will guide you on your way. Streamlight can actually make a flashlight that suits your specific needs. There are 3 beam types. Did you know there were different types of beams? You can get a tradition series beam that is used for general use. It’s a good beam for general contracting, law enforcement needs, industrial use and maintaining vehicles. Then there’s the High Lumen beam that has a wide beam with extraordinary brightness. This beam is great for searching an area, using in car stops, lighting a campsite and all the while fitting in your pocket. The last style is the High Performance Long Distance. This type of beam has the longest beam distance and has a high lumen output. Linemen might use this type of flashlight when looking for line problems from the ground. A police officer might use this type of flashlight to look down a long alley for a suspect.
The people of Streamlight even have recommendations on the types of batteries to use for each flashlight. And of course they have rechargeable styles. Knowing that not everyone wants or needs the same type of flashlight, Streamlight has a TEN-TAP programmable switch. With this switch you can choose from one of three lighting styles to match the application you are using the flashlight. Simply tap the switch 9 times and hold it down on the 10th time. Repeat until you get the beam you need.
This new flashlight from Streamlight is the best flashlight I have ever purchased. I never realized how different a quality flashlight would be. It’s rugged, has light patterns to suit my needs and can suit my needs. I also like to work on stuff hands free so I got one of the headlamps they sell. There’s also flashlights that stand on their own, have a flexible tube, are made for tactical use and can mount on a hardhat. Consider purchasing a Streamlight flashlight the next time you find yourself in the dark. This flashlight will definitely enlighten you to all your lighting possibilities.
